   ROMANS 16:16 Campus Ministry

"Many people hesitate to visit a church unless they know what it will be like when they go. Perhaps we can give you an idea of what to expect when you visit us."

College can be difficult experience. It certainly is a time when questions, doubts, and "issues of life" are thrown into the laps of emerging adults. One of the main goals is to meet the needs of the college students. Sometimes, that means serving a much-needed home cooked meal. Sometimes, its providing time away from the books and dorm life. At other times, it may be helping to sort out a difficult problem. Always, it means providing the loving atmosphere of a family that is focused on God.

Outreach to the community does not only include outreach to the homeless but to other sectors of our society.

Our outreach also includes ministering to:

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.                                                                       I Corinthians 9:20-22

PRISON MINISTRY

The East Point Church of Christ Prison Ministry is active in Georgia,North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and other states. There are thousands of lives being changed by sharing the gospel. NewLife Behavior Ministries (NLBM) is the program used for correspondence. NLB is a comprehensive program to assist individuals in behavioral improvement. It is a ministry of hope reconciling individuals to God, families, and society. It is our basic belief that we are created in the image of God and that we are most complete, comfortable, and productive when operating our daily lives in harmony with our Lord & Savior.

The East Point Church of Christ work to minister to those affected by crime and incarceration. We help care for those who are victims of crime.  We are also invited to follow the example of Jesus Christ by ministering to and caring for those who are in prison or jail and their family members Matthew 25:35–40;

What should our attitude be toward the incarcerated? Are their sins any worse than ours in God's sight?

Paul said in Romans 3:23 "For we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Only  one sinless persons has lived in the history of the world, and He died on a cross as a convicted criminal over 2000 years ago.

Do you know anyone that is incarcerated that could use some encouragement and/ or a Bible study? Contact us and we will reach out to your loved one.

Over 3000 souls have been led to Christ in this ministry!!

       Preaching and Discipleship

About our instructor:

Brother Weeks has been reaching souls for 40 years. He has been instrumental in establishing congregations, building ministries and leading many to Christ.

While so many attempt to teach classes on discipleship without ever developing relationships, this class begins with the necessity of relationships!

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead,and in view of his appearingand His kingdom, I give you this charge:Preachthe word;be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebukeand encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship,do the work of an evangelist,discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Each student in this school (Bible class) will be trained on how to study the Bible in a way where they can share it with others. Also this class will effective teach each student on how to effective win souls for Christ. Disciples are to be making other disciples for Christ.

"My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples"                                                                                                 (John 15:8).

              Young Adult Ministry

In the last 25 years or so, the population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, has grown from nearly 250 million to 321 million- adding a total of 71 million people. Most of this new growth has come from millennials (age 25 -40) and Gen Z's (9 - 24). These are the age group that is most absent in the church today but why?

While many churches talk about the need to reach young people very little to nothing is done to either reach them or keep the ones they have. Some surveys say as many as 70% of youth stop attending church when they graduate from High School.

Despite the negative reports, young people still love God and they want to know about Christ and Him crucified!

Since May of last year we have seen over 50 young adults baptized into Christ.

So many have asked what has led to this growth and here are a few reason why.

1. We believe and encourage young people to understand that they are the church of today not "just in the future". Churches that will not involve young people NOW will die SOON!

2. Young people need good examples of leadership. In otherwords they would rather see a sermon than just hear one.This should start at home!!

3. This generation is faced with a lot of "voices and teachings" through every medium from Instagram to TikTok. We will not reach them today preaching "General teaching" from the pulpit. If you want to keep young people, make the preaching Biblical, and practical.

 The Young Adult Bible study and fellowship is held every Tuesday night at 7 pm

    in Lawrenceville, Georgia       (Contact us if you need transportation to the study)

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity" I Timothy 4:12.
